The World Jai-Alai League will launch its Battle Court Fall 2025 season on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The 12-week series marks the league’s final season at the Magic City Fronton in Miami, with live matches scheduled every Friday at 7 p.m. through Dec. 12. Six teams will compete for the Battle Court title, currently held by the Renegades.
Battle Court Jai-Alai is a faster-paced version of the traditional sport, played in a glass-walled court designed for improved visibility and audience engagement. Each team represents and supports a nonprofit or mission-based organization. This season’s partners include the Udonis Haslem Foundation, SLAM Foundation, Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Debris Free Oceans, Earthbound Academy, and Baila con Micho School.
The Magic City Fronton is a jai alai venue located in Miam originally built in 2004 as part of the Flagler Dog Track complex. It was converted to host professional jai alai in 2018, when the World Jai-Alai League introduced Battle Court, a modernized version of the traditional Basque sport.
Admission and parking are free for attendees. The league employs nearly 40 full-time athletes and hosts over 500 matches each year.
