Fontainebleau Restaurant Roundup

1 min read

MIAMI BEACH – Fresh off a $1 billion renovation and expansion, a quick roundup of the restaurants at The Fontainebleau. If you aren’t staying at the Morris Lapidus fantasy, at least if you are in Miami, try to stop in if not for the high end steak, then a coffee and pastry at Solo.

Call ahead for hours; Gotham and Scarpetta recommend reservations.

Gotham Steak: High end way expensive steaks where the old Gigi Room used to be. Seafood tower or $75 steak anyone?

Scarpetta: A redux of the New York Italian restaurant.

Hakkasan, a restaurant by London chef Alan Yau. The food is Cantonese cuisine in a sleek, sophisticated space overlooking the Atlantic.

La Côte: This eatery by chef Sean O’Connell has a French atmosphere inspired by the Côte d’Azure. They serve cocktails, tapas and fresh seafood, salads and desserts.

Blade: Sushi for dinner.

Solo: A bakery at the hotel, with wild cakes and chocolates and coffee.

Fresh: Snacks and gelato, with “American comfort food.”
