FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Lennox has opened a new National Account Services headquarters and training center in Fort Lauderdale, including a 6,000-square-foot space for commercial HVAC training.

The facility will be used by Lennox National Account Services technicians, managers and field leaders for classroom instruction and hands-on training with commercial HVAC equipment and systems, the company said in a Sept. 3 press release.

Training programs at the facility include Skilled Technician, Advanced Technician, Lead Master and Manager-in-Training programs. Lennox NAS also operates Build-A-Tech, a paid six- to eight-month apprenticeship program combining classroom instruction, field experience and mentorship.

Since 2016, Lennox NAS has trained nearly 1,600 technicians, according to the company.

“National account customers rely on Lennox to support critical operations across hundreds or even thousands of locations,” said Joe Nassab, executive vice president and president of Lennox Building Climate Solutions, in the press release. “This investment strengthens the capabilities of our service organization and creates a dedicated environment where technicians and field leaders can sharpen their expertise and share best practices from across the network.”

Lennox NAS provides maintenance, repair and replacement services for commercial HVAC equipment for national customers, including some of the nation’s largest retail businesses.

Lennox also is constructing an 18,000-square-foot Commercial HVAC Experience and Training Center near its headquarters in Richardson, Texas. The facility is intended to provide commercial HVAC customers with hands-on training in HVAC technologies and controls.

The Fort Lauderdale facility expands Lennox’s existing customer training resources, which include nine Lennox LIVE residential training labs in North America and a commercial refrigeration training center in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
