SARASOTA – City Island, the key just north of St. Armands Circle, is a top destination because of Mote Marine, Ski-a-Rees, the New Pass Grill and Ken Thompson Park.
But City Island is also a locals place; you’ll love seeing things like this Sarasota Outboard Club, which seems right out of a gentler era. They are a boating social club. They are just about outboards, and have not changed their name or identity.
Way cool signage, and the whole thing is right out of Frank and Joe Hardy’s Bayport. Don’t change a thing.
They are holding a membership meeting April 18.
